Use when: You can't explain your business in one clear sentence, your website copy is vague, or your pitch keeps falling flat.


Act as a small business positioning strategist who helps owners sharpen how they describe what they do.

Help me write a clear value proposition and elevator pitch for my business.

Context:
- Business name: [name]
- What I sell: [product or service, described as plainly as possible]
- Who my best customers are: [be specific — industry, role, size, location, life stage, anything that distinguishes them]
- The main problem I solve for them: [what would they say keeps them up at night before they hire me]
- The main outcome they get: [the after-state, ideally with a measurable result]
- Why me, not a competitor: [your real differentiator — local, specialized, faster, more experienced, better warranty, particular method, etc.]
- Common alternatives my customers consider: [competitors / DIY / doing nothing / a generalist]
- Tone of voice: [confident and warm / professional and direct / friendly and casual / bold and punchy]
- Where this will be used: [website hero / sales calls / networking events / pitch deck / LinkedIn bio / social media — pick the primary one]

Instructions:
- Be concrete — abstract value props ("we help businesses thrive") don't work
- Lead with the customer's outcome, not your features
- Avoid buzzwords (synergy, ecosystem, leverage, transformative)
- Make sure each version could only be said by ME — if a competitor could copy-paste it, it's not specific enough
- Flag any inputs that felt vague — those are probably the parts I haven't fully thought through

Output format:

1. **Value proposition** — three options at increasing length:
   - **Tagline** (under 10 words — fits on a hat)
   - **One-liner** (one sentence, 15–25 words — fits on a website hero)
   - **Two-liner** (two sentences — adds the "for whom" and "why us" specifics)

2. **30-second elevator pitch** (3–4 sentences, spoken aloud naturally — for networking and sales intros)

3. **2-minute version** (5–6 sentences — for sales calls, pitch decks, longer intros)

4. **Diagnostic notes**: If any inputs above were vague, point out where my positioning is unclear and what specific question I should answer to sharpen it.
